Team Building in the US

Weโ€™ve recently had the pleasure of partnering with creative events planner, 180 Group, who specialise in healthcare meetings, launches, events.

Having previously worked with the wonderful team at 180 Group on a Give a Hand event in Denver, Colorado, and a Water Works event in Orlando, Florida, we were delighted to collaborate with them once again.

This time, we travelled to Chicago, Illinois, for a conference that welcomed 300 healthcare professionals to the Windy City for collaboration, networking and meaningful discussions. Little did they know they would also be taking part in our Give a Hand programme.

Give a Hand: A Life-Changing Team-Build

The corporate conference was held at the Marriott Marquis, where our session began with keynote speaker David Meade taking to the stage to energise the audience and encourage them to think about how we can all make a meaningful difference. With the help of a volunteer from the audience, David demonstrated a numerical trick that highlighted the power of perspective, reinforcing this important message.

This led seamlessly into the Give a Hand programme, where delegates split into groups of three to five to build prosthetic hands for amputees in need.

The activity is both challenging and rewarding, as teams work together to assemble small springs, digits and straps into fully functioning prosthetic hands. The result is not only a successful team-building experience, but a life-changing gift for someone in need.

Across the world, many people living in under-resourced communities experience limb loss due to accidents, illness or congenital conditions. This can make everyday tasks that many of us take for granted – such as eating, washing or getting dressed – far more difficult.

Chicago's CSR Impact

Thanks to the 300 healthcare professionals in Chicago who embraced the CSR challenge, 75 prosthetic hands were built and are now ready to be donated to amputees around the world, helping to improve independence and quality of life.

A fantastic achievement from everyone involved, and a powerful reminder that approaching a challenge with a positive attitude can make a meaningful difference.

  • “This was an awesome, meaningful team building activity and weโ€™re grateful to be able to help others by working together!” – Elaine

We’re so glad the delegates enjoyed their time in Chicago as much as we did.

Finally, a special thank you to Lindsey, Lauren and the entire team at 180 Group for their outstanding event coordination and hospitality. As always, everything ran seamlessly, and we’re incredibly grateful for another fantastic partnership.
