21 water filters built during IoD’s ‘Colleague Away Day’ at The Merchant Hotel, Belfast.
The Institute of Directors (IoD) is a thriving membership community made up of professionals, leaders and business owners across the UK —a network designed to help individuals connect, learn, and support one another.
For their 2025 IoD Colleague Away Day, we were incredibly proud to join them at The Merchant Hotel, Belfast, to deliver our Water Works CSR team-building programme.
Water Works
The IoD’s team-building session was a resounding success, marked by high levels of engagement and enthusiasm from everyone in attendance. David’s strong personal connection with IoD was evident throughout, culminating in a powerful and emotional segment about the Water Works programme and its real-world impact.
With 86 colleagues participating, the IoD group collectively assembled 21 water filters for communities in need —helping to provide clean water for up to 6,300 people in Uganda for as long as two years.
The atmosphere in the room was vibrant and energetic as colleagues immersed themselves in the challenge, collaborating to achieve something tangible. Our help desk assistants moved between tables, offering guidance and encouragement, while participants deepened their understanding of the programme’s global significance.
