Team Building in the United States
In December 2025, Lightbulb Teams were invited to a corporate year-end event in New Jersey, where 100 professionals came together to celebrate their 2025 achievements. With the event centred on communication excellence and giving back, we knew Give a Hand would be the perfect fit for this audience and their objectives.
Hosted in the stunning Maddy Rose Restaurant at Liberty House, with the Manhattan skyline as a breathtaking backdrop, the stage was set for more than just a view. The session provided a meaningful opportunity for attendees to strengthen connections and unite around a shared goal.
Give a Hand in Action
Commencing with a high-energy keynote from facilitator David Meade on navigating change – including a fast-paced energiser that tested non-verbal communication skills – the session then moved into our CSR build: Give a Hand.
The aim of Give a Hand is simple but powerful: to foster collaboration and problem-solving, while making a tangible difference in someoneโs life.
Participants worked in teams to carefully construct prosthetic hands, supporting one another throughout the build process. Alongside assembling the devices, groups also decorated personalised travel cases, adding messages of encouragement for the future recipients.
The energy in the room was infectious. Conversations flowed and teamwork came to life. And by the end of the session, 19 prosthetic hands had been successfully built!

Real Life Impact
The event in New Jersey was a powerful reminder that when teams unite behind a meaningful purpose, the results can be truly life-changing. Each built prosthetic hand will now offer independence and confidence to an amputee – enabling them to carry out everyday tasks we take for granted such as, feeding or washing themselves.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who took part in December, and for the wonderful delegate feedback shared after the event.
