Thinking Forward: Without Limits

BCD Meetings & Events is an events management company that designs and manages meetings, events, incentives, and brand experiences. They bring people together and create a lasting impact.

We recently joined BCD Meetings & Events for their annual UK all-employee event,

It was an event designed to inspire 400 delegates through panel discussions, supplier engagement, and collaborative experiences. And we were delighted to bring our CSR programme, Toy for Life,ย to their agenda.

Toy for Life

In true BCD fashion, our CSR programme took shape during a unique afternoon set-up – whereby delegates could only secure their Toy for Life kit, after successfully meeting with a range of industry suppliers first.

Once a kit was secured, teams spread out across several rooms to work together – in their groups – to assemble a toy plane. Participants followed our build instructions, designed keepsake tote bags and shared messages of hope for the children who will one day play with the durable wooden toy planes they created.

Each team showcased incredible enthusiasm and followed up with generous feedback on their experience.

  • “This has been the best keynote speech and team building that I have ever had the pleasure in taking part in.” – Ian, delegate
  • “Engaging, informational and extremely relevant. The toy building session was so meaningful and thank you for letting us be part of this experience!” – Sara, delegate
  • “Absolutely loved this & genuinely warmed my heart to know that children will benefit. Sending love from my family to yours!” – Gabrielle, delegate

CSR Team Building Impact

Toy for Life is a team-building activity that demonstrates how collaboration can create meaningful outcomes – not only for the children who receive the toys, but also for the teams who come together to build them.

At BCDโ€™s annual all-employee event, teamwork and creativity resulted in 66 wooden toys being built for underprivileged children. And we can’t wait to donate them to schools and homes in Uganda on BCD’s behalf.

For many children, access to safe toys is something often taken for granted. Yet in some communities, children have little or no access to toys, and some may never have received a gift in their lives. A lack of opportunities to play can limit cognitive development and expose children to harm when unsafe materials are used as substitutes for toys.

But thanks to everyone at BCD, these durable toys will bring joy, learning, and safe play opportunities to children who need them most.
