Lightbulb Teams were delighted to join Allianz UK in East Hampshire to deliver our Give a Hand team-building activityโ€”an experience designed to inspire collaboration while making a real-world impact.

Allianz UK is part of the wider Allianz Group, one of the worldโ€™s leading financial services providers, offering a range of commercial and personal insurance products.

Over the years, David Meade, founder of Lightbulb Teams, has built a strong partnership with Allianzโ€”delivering corporate keynotes, hosting virtual shows, and participating in the Allianz Sales Success Seminar.

So, when Emma and the team reached out to find the perfect team-building experience for their event, we were excited to jump on a call and explore the best fit for their goals.

Give a Hand: A Purpose-Driven Team Build

As a company, Allianz is committed to its people, society, and the planetโ€”always seeking opportunities to create a safe, sustainable, and inclusive environment. With this in mind, they selected our Give a Hand programme, designed to empower employees beyond the boardroom.

On the day, Lightbulb Teams facilitator Aaron led the session, supported by three of our Help Desk Assistants. Delegates worked in teams of 3-5 to build real clinical prosthetic hands, a challenging task that requires precision, patience, and teamwork. With intricate parts to assemble, this was no ordinary team-building activityโ€”but Allianz teams rose to the challenge, demonstrating incredible collaboration and problem-solving skills.

A Lasting Impact

Thanks to Allianzโ€™s outstanding efforts, we now have 39 prosthetic hands ready to donate through our charity network, reaching amputees in need around the world. These hands will truly transform livesโ€”giving individuals the ability to eat, write, and dress independently.

A huge thank you to Emma and the Allianz team for trusting us with your audienceโ€”we had an incredible time, and weโ€™re so glad you did too!
