The Give a Hand programme at the 2023 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) makes ITV News.
CSR Team-Building
Last week Lightbulb Facilitator Aaron hosted our Give a Hand programme to pupils from 3 schools across London, at the 2023 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA).
We enjoyed it just as much as the students, who took time out of their half-term school holidays to build 12 prosthetic hands for patients all over the world.
As Aaron explained the positive impact these prosthetic hands would have on patients across the developing world, students were excited to take on the challenge. Working together to assemble the hands, the students also thoughtfully designed the cases that the prosthetic hands would travel in, attaching each with a personal message.
We all had lots of fun and laughter during the two sessions and think we may have a few engineers and scientists amongst us!!
Well done to all the students who took part at the 2023 IEEE ICRA – your participation will now give back daily independence to 12 individuals across the world.
