Creative events agency Top Banana get involved with CSR team build, Give A Hand.
As an organisation Top Banana is constantly trying to push its people to achieve greatness in everything that they do – whether that’s their internal operations or delivering for client events. With more than 25 years’ experience as a creative events production company, it has worked with world-renowned brands such as Virgin Media, Moët & Chandon and Siemens.
With a reputation for excellence, second best isn’t an option and time is precious. Working in a fast-paced industry means time is a precious commodity so any time spent out of the office has to really count!
As a business Top Banana is constantly trying to make a difference in the world. They believe that as an organisation, you can do good things for your business while also doing good things in the world. It was for this reason they chose the Give A Hand programme to be delivered by the Lightbulb Team at their off-site retreat.
The Give A Hand programme challenges individuals to build a real life, clinical, prosthetic hand. These hands then travel all across the world, to over 92 countries, to a patient in need.
While it is a big challenge the team at Top Banana applied the same mentality to the programme as they do to overcoming the daily challenges that their clients face and excelled in the face of any resistance.

Speaking after the event Lightbulb founder David Meade said: “We’ve been really lucky to partner with Top Banana for many years now but it was so rewarding to be able to join them on this journey with Lightbulb Teams.
“The Give A Hand programme has been our flagship program for many years. It’s so powerful because it allows ordinary people to do extraordinary things by providing a real clinical, prosthetic to someone in the world who, under any other circumstances, simply wouldn’t have the clinical help and support that they need.
“Every single one of the team members at Top Banana truly embraced the challenge and overcame the tough stuff. They solved problems and then, in doing so, have been able to change the life of patients in the developing world. There was barely a dry eye in the house when they realised what impact these hands would have on their end recipients.
“This perfectly summarises the ethos and attitude of Top Banana and we’re so inspired and grateful that they took the activity so seriously. We’re incredibly excited to continue to work with them again and to hopefully partner with Top Banana and Lightbulb teams on many other things in the future.”
